AD3 PRODUCTIONS PROMOTES HIV/AIDS AWARENESS IN THE
NATIONS CAPITAL WITH ìTHE RED FOR LIFE FASHION EXPERIENCE
AD3 Productions will host "The Red for Life Fashion Experience" (an event promoting HIV/AIDS awareness & prevention) on Saturday, September 13, 2008 at 6:30 p.m. in the Cramton Auditorium (on the campus of Howard University). This event will present the creative and entertaining elements of fashion - featuring modeling, eclectic music, and the creative artistic clothing of Washington, D.C.'is most innovative designers - while educating and enlightening attendees about HIV/AIDS. According to the Center for Disease Control, Washington, D.C. is currently leading other major cities - Philadelphia, New York City, Detroit and Baltimore - in newly reported cases of HIV/AIDS. "The Red for Life Fashion Experience" will raise consciousness and enlighten all attendees about this pandemic and its affects in the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan Area.
This event will feature a $1,000 walk-off competition, the infamous Chocolate City Models, the AD3 Diamonds, and a variety of special guests! AD3 Productions will utilize the fashion sector as a conduit to raise awareness of HIV/AIDS amongst youth and promote methods of contraception and prevention. This event will provide opportunities for health organizations to conduct on-sight testing, focus groups to carry out their missions of HIV/AIDS education, designers the opportunity to display their product to the community, and attendees to be inspired toward HIV/AIDS prevention in a safe and fashionable outlet.
By hosting this event, AD3 Productions seeks to honor persons directly affected by this pandemic by celebrating the lives of people who are currently living with HIV/AIDS and paying homage to those who have lost their lives as a result of this pandemic.
